A weekend car that comes out for a Saturday cruise and a car show is mostly parked. It is not logging miles behind trucks on I-15 or sitting in the lane next to gravel trucks on the 215, day after day, on the same commute.
A daily driver does all of that, over and over. Chip damage is cumulative and mostly invisible until it isn't, a pit here, a pit there, and after a couple years the front of the hood and bumper look sandblasted even though no single hit felt like much. Highway miles are the variable that matters most, not how nice the car is or how careful the owner drives.

Do I need both PPF and ceramic coating?
