After SEMA: Cleaning Up Show Cars and Trucks in Las Vegas

SEMA 2026 wraps up on Friday, Nov 6. Booth vehicles can start moving at 4pm in the West and North Halls and 4:30pm in the Central and South Halls, and then a lot of very nice cars get loaded onto trailers or driven across the country. Plenty of them leave dustier than they arrived.

What four days on the show floor does to a car

Four days in a convention hall is hard on a clean car, even one nobody drives:

  • Dust settles on every flat surface. Hoods, roofs and trunks collect a fine layer that turns into scratches if someone wipes it off dry.
  • Fingerprints everywhere. Door handles, glass, the edges of the hood, and every panel someone leaned on for a photo.
  • The interior takes a beating. Doors open all day means footprints on the carpet, smudges on the screens and dust in the vents.
  • Load-out adds road film. If the car drives out or rides an open trailer, it picks up grime before it's even out of Las Vegas.

None of that is a big deal if it gets cleaned properly before the trip home. Dust and grime left on the paint are harder to remove safely the longer they sit.

Transport-ready wash

Before a car goes onto a trailer or into storage, it should be clean and dry, with the gaps blown out. Our Express Wash covers the exterior, windows inside and out, a quick interior vacuum and wipe, and the wheels and tires. If the paint needs more, an Exterior Detail adds clay bar and iron remover and a 6-month polymer sealant. Tell us if the finish is matte or wrapped so we use the right products.

Interior cleanup

If the doors were open to the crowd all week, the interior usually needs real attention, not just a quick vacuum. Interior Detail Lite covers a vacuum, shampooed carpets and seats, leather, the dash and panels, steam-cleaned vents and the glass.
